Data Vault Modeling Business Book

Many folks have asked me where the URL is for this book, so here it is:

http://www.lulu.com/content/1371769

As it turns out, I don’t think LULU can sell the Eastern Europe. I have tried to get it listed on Amazon, but so far with no success.

If you’ve read the book, I’d love some comments here as to what you think about it.

Cheers,
Dan Linstedt

    Dan,

I enjoyed reading your book. This book is in especially very useful for those who want to sell the data vault to businesses. It gives a clear picture of the benefits of using the data vault technique as well as the introduction of DV.
I, as a developer, am really looking forward reading a technical book about the DV. Is this something you are working on like lulu mentioned? When do you expect this will be published? Where can I find more technical information about data vaults?

    Cheers!

    Wouter

    Hi Wouter,

Welcome, and thank-you for the review. Yes, I am working on the DV Technical Book. I have about 65% left to write and edit. Because this new book is highly focused on data modeling, it needs a bunch of examples. It will only be about the data modeling components themselves. It will not cover loading, nor querying, nor will it cover performance tuning, or methodology components – those are reserved for future books.

I *hope* to have the book published before the end of 2010, that’s my goal anyhow. We’ll see how it goes.

    Cheers,
    Dan L

    Hi

Have you release the DV technical book already?

    Hi Fausto,

Not to the general public. That is coming shortly. I’ve released it only to my coaching students (those who have signed up for coaching have access to the book today).

    Thanks,
    Dan L
